Myers' believes art and theater give students the opportunity to explore their potential. She understands that, through teaching performance skills, an individual’s learning, leadership, public speaking, creativity and team working skills are developed. Further, the arts help to build confidence and overcome social barriers.

Guest Artist for California Shakespeare theater’s educational outreach program and team taught high school students Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and adapted state standardized curriculum to guide student’s to plan, write and perform their own social justice plays. 

Taught William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, improvisation and performance skills to high school students at Making Waves Academy. This was many of the students first, and perhaps last, opportunity to experience a theater class.

Worked as a guest artist teaching both Thangka Painting, contemplative arts and theater classes for students 14-16. In charge of designing curriculum, materials, teaching, homework.

Social Justice Circus Teacher | Performers Without Borders                     Kenya & India | 1-6/ 2014-1-6/2015

Co-fundraised over $20,000 to donate to the children’s circus education project. Taught dance, self-defense, theater, mural making, and circus with a team of professional circus performers to at risk children in the slums of Northern India and Kenya.  Developed a course of circus and clown studies collaboratively with five volunteer teachers. Scheduled and directed youth productions. Managed finances and reimbursements.

Guest Movement Artist Teacher | Lincoln High School San Francisco, CA | 2017

As a guest artist, communicated with a individual teachers to customize lesson plans for high school students focusing on communication skills, circus, movement skills, for the Special Needs department, Peer Resource department, and the Theater department.

Designed and taught one-on-one customized lesson plans in Circus, English and Spanish to youth on the autism spectrum.

Wrote, directed and designed children’s theater productions, including set production, lighting and sound, and dance classes for youth, ages 6-15. Specialized in Augusto Boal’s Theater of the Oppressed, African dance, Red Nose Clown.

Designed experiential forth and fifth grade curriculum tailored for Sensory Processing challenges, OCD, and Autism. Worked under the guidance of Psychologist Kimberly Shipman, P.H.D. in Child Trauma Therapy.
